• Gear Oil Management: Fill the planetary housing with the recommended extreme-pressure gear oil of the correct viscosity grade. Change the oil every 250-500 operating hours under normal conditions, and every 250 hours in severe applications such as quarry work, demolition, or continuous heavy digging. Examine drained oil for metallic particles as an early diagnostic indicator of gear or bearing wear.
• Mounting Bolt Protocol: When reinstalling the final drive unit, always fit new high-strength bolts. Apply a suitable thread locking compound to the bolt threads prior to torquing to factory specifications, preventing loosening caused by continuous vibration and shock loads during travel and digging operations.
