• Gear Oil Change Interval: Replace planetary gear oil at 250 hours for initial break-in, then every 500 hours or quarterly. Use extreme pressure gear oil SAE 80W-90 or Komatsu AX 80W-90. Monitor drained oil for copper particles indicating bushing wear or steel fragments indicating gear distress.
• Sprocket Hub Bolt Replacement Protocol: Always install new bolts with high-strength thread locking compound upon reassembly. Clean bolt holes thoroughly with compressed air to remove oil residue. Tighten in a diagonal sequence to the specified torque of 1,200 ± 50 N*m.
• Pre-Start Motor Priming Procedure: Before initial startup after installation or extended downtime, fill the motor housing completely with clean hydraulic oil through the uppermost case port until oil steadily flows from the drain port.
