• Gear Oil Forensics: Change the planetary gear oil every 500–1,000 hours. If the oil appears "milky," water has breached the seals; if it looks "metallic," your gears are spalling. Catch it early to save the gearbox.

• Sprocket Bolt Care: The LG240 generates massive torque. Never reuse old sprocket bolts. Always use new Grade 10.9 or 12.9 bolts and a high-strength thread locker to prevent flange damage.

• System Priming: Never run a new travel motor "dry." Fill the motor case with clean hydraulic oil through the highest port before starting the engine to ensure instant lubrication of the rotary group.
